Melissa Metcalf
My practice is focused on tort law, I have been working as a personal injury lawyer in Pennsylvania for 4 years and have faced some cases but whether seeking fair compensation for a car accident or holding perpetrators liable for medical malpractice, I take the time to understand a client’s needs and goals before offering advice or implementing a strategy. My area of law deals with offenses, that is, unlawful actions that do not reach the level of criminal behavior, for example, my specialization is to protect people and businesses accused of causing bodily harm. In my practice, I have had to assess whether the plaintiff has a valid claim, I am in the process of filing the necessary court documents protecting against harm claims and advising on which is best to try to reach a settlement or go to court. Many people now also have insurance that pays for their personal injury protection coverage. One of the areas in which I also managed to prove myself is this invasion of privacy: while protecting my clients, lawsuits were filed against the defendant who invaded the privacy of my clients, appropriating his name or image, publicly revealing personal facts about him. I believe there are additional accidents and injuries that may be the basis for other types of claims in an injury lawsuit.
